Remember, remember the 5th of November

This Saturday it's time again to get out your sparklers and come along to the Plymouth Hoe for the annual fireworks display.



The Hoe will have it's usual attractions for the night with the entertainment starting at 6pm on the stage. The bnfire will be lit at 7.30 and the grand finale fireworks display will start at 8pm.The display will be set to a dramatic musical soundtrack and Smeaton's Tower, the Citadel and the War Memorial will be 'colourwashed' with coloured floodlighting to complement the glow of the bonfire. There will also be fairground rides.


Of course Plymouth best cafe bar and restaurant will be open serving food and drinks all night until late. So come along, enjoy the sites and sit back and relax with the unique atmosphere of the Terrace Cafe.

Americas Cup at the Terrace Cafe Plymouth



Plymouth hosted the prestigous Americas Cup and there was no where better to see all theaction than the Terrace Cafe Bar in Plymouth.


Stunning action and racing was seen from our unique view point. Boats soared, crashed and raced. Helcopters flew around excitedly capturing all the action. Our customers caught all the excitment in our relaxed setting enjoying delicious food and drink.

British Fireworks Championship at the Terrace Cafe








Every year thousands flock to Plymouth Hoe, to witness the annual British Fireworks Championships. Started in 1996, each year six professional fireworks companies take part in the competition for two nights in August. The result, a breathtaking display of colour and light.

The Plymouth night was aglow on the evenings of 16th and 17th August 2011 as six competiting teams thrilled thousands of onlookers with their spectacular firework displays in the hope of being crowned British Firework Champion 2011.


The votes have been counted and verified and the winning display - as chosen by the panel of judges - was created by MLE Pyrotechnics who not only carry the crown for this year, but will take their place alongside previous winners in the 2012 Champion of Champions Competition.

A stunning day as the temperatures soared above 25 degrees. We made this panaromic image to try an convey the view but nothing compares to coming down, drinking a cold drink and relaxing whilst basking in the sunlight, atmosphere and mood.
